Default Dynex Wireless USB Mouse Driver
I have the Dynex Notebook Kit USB wireless mouse and Vista Home Premium. The system recognizes the thing when I plug in the adapter and tries to install drivers. Then I get an error message that the install has failed and it says "The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Win 95 or later."

Dynex are no help at all. They say that because it's PnP it should work. There are no special drivers available for this mouse. It was packaged in their "Notebook Kit".

I can't find aything on driverguide.com or vistaheadscom. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Wireless mouse' , I have a particular jinx with them. Some start to work ok then have a wobbler and decide to die relatively young. Tried drivers, new batteries, rechargeable batteries. finding drivers and different makes. Don't know if I have a high charge of static electricity or what but they always go kaput on me . You could say a 'pet' hate for me.(Pun intended.. 'mouse.'.. )
Seems your'e not alone; http://forums.driverguide.com/showthread.php?p=88921

On this particular instance I certainly can't help you, sorry. Best of luck simrick!!

Well, we figured it out! With Vista SP1 and designating the mouse as HID-compliant (not USB), it works! Hurray! Thanks to the guys at vistaheads for the suggestions too.
