Merging Partitions in Vista

I have a few small partitions in my hard disk. I will now like to merge a few of them to increase their sizes.
How do I go about it in Vista itself without having to purchase external softwares like Partition Magic?
Or is there and freeware available?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I did have a look of this process via Vista earlier but was not too impressed.
I could only "shrink" one then "Extend" the other BUT not totally merge them. Unless of course I was willing to forgo the data in one and just delete the partition.
Anyway, using Partition Magic can solve the problem though a bit costly for a one time affair.
