    Editing The Registry (note if your not comfortable within the Registry leave it, and if you do implement this edit do back up your Registry first)

    Performance

    Start > Run > type regedit > OK > in Registry Editor open - [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]

    Set Values

    "ForegroundLockTimeout"=dword:00000000
    "HungAppTimeout"="4000"
    "MenuShowDelay"="200"
    "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l]

    Set Values

    "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"="4000"

    Note "MenuShowDelay" 0 is too fast the default is 400

    Fix for Slow Network Browsing

    Editing The Registry (note if your not comfortable within the Registry leave it, and if you do implement this edit do back up your Registry first)

    Click Start > Run, type regedit and click OK.

    Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    then SOFTWARE
    then Microsoft
    then Windows
    then CurrentVersion
    then Explorer
    then RemoteComputer
    then NameSpace

    Right-click on {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} and select Delete.

    Click Yes to confirm deletion.

    After you restart the computer, network browsing should be faster.

    Default Your XP tweaks

    Each time you connect to a Wi-Fi hot spot, whether it's in a restaurant or at home, it logs the name of the access point that you connected to in the Windows Preferred Network settings.If you're like us and you accidentally connect to your neighbor's access point, and then find yourself reconnecting again despite your efforts not to, you need to relocate your neighbors access point listing down in your connection list and move your router to the top.

    Good one, personally I use broadcom's software due to I have a broadcom wireless card. I find the windows wireless management service very unreliable and choppy...

    But this is in theory the same thing needed to do in every wireless software.

    Have a nice day.
