Unhappy Fatal blue screen errors and a lot more problems.

This morning, I botted up my sdell inspiron 1300 and recieved a fatal blue screen message:

    STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.

Before this happened, the laptop has experienced a couple of other problems.
The first, whenever it is started up normally I must select Last known good configuration (Your most recent setting that worked) Because otherwise, nothing can be clicked. And If I try to click too many times it makes a strange noise and freezes. Most of the time, after getting past that stage, the start bar and icons on the desktop do not show and wont. More often than not, it freezes in the middle of something, and makes the same noise when I try to click something. Also, our firewall is Bullguard, but it seems not effective as the computer is riddled with popups.

Is there a solution to this, or will I have to reboot it all and lose my files?
    (Which I havent saved. )

    Regards,
    Marui.

For help with this fault read the MS Article here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;156669

Note about halfway down the page you have the instructions for booting the computer in the last know good configuration.

Though the problem is that I cannot do anything but read the message.
I can't run command promt, for the screen just stays there, whatever I do when I press F8.
Is there a way to clear everything from it and start new, without logging in to it?

Do you have an XP CD if so try booting the computer from the CD and do a repair install (This should leave all personal data/photos etc intact)

    Suggestion by Ferret:
Press Key F1 or F2 to access BIOS and select boot from CD as first option.
You have to try the Repair option or from F8 menu try different choices.
, including command prompt/bootlog text etc.
Do you have only one OS Or some old windows OS still available as a choice ?
