Thread: Dialog boxes disappear.

Hi there,

Recently I have had problems on several of my computers where: certain dialog boxes, cmd, windows task manager etc disappear after about 3 seconds of opening.

I do not think the problem is a virus or similar as one of the computers has never been connected to the internet.

Has anyone else had this 'bug' and if so could they help????

Well from what i recall there was a virus that did this to computers but as your pc's havent been on the web its unlikely unless you shared some files which may of contained the virus.

Have you tried doing a system restore on one of the machines to a known working date?

Please could you tell me what a system restore is?

Also, I have done a bit of file sharing via USB stick. Could you tell me what virus it is, and how to get rid of it?
