Have you tried booting into Safe mode?
Normally contiually tapping the F8 key while the computer boots should give the option to start in safe mode.
If you can boot into safe mode without the error coming up, then it is possible that some program that was starting when you booted has has been deleted.
If you have a decent reg cleaner that gives you the option to back up the reg, Do so then run a scan see if that helps.
Thanks for the reply. I have ran it in Safe mode and the message doesnt appear. Sorry, but what is a reg cleaner?Originally Posted by Ferret
Sorry for being late reply
A Reg cleaner cleans up unused or obsolete entries in the Computer Registry.
Most programs that are installed will write an entry in the registry, But if you later uninstall that program, some can still leave the registry entry. So when the computer boots you couild get an error message quite similar to yours.
If you don`t have a Registry cleaning program Download CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
Open CCleaner and click on the registry icon ... run a scan ... after the scan is completed ... click to fix issues ... Before anything is removed the program offers to back up the registry for you. Ensure you make a backup then allow the cleaner to remove the listed entries in the registry. If anything happens at least you can restore the registry to what it was before.
Thanks very much. Seems to have solved it.
I also have another problem which if you could help I would really appreciate it. I downloaded a game of the internet and when i tried to remove it, it comes up with this message;
Cannot find utCompiledCode record for this version of the uninstaller.
I tried revo uninstaller but that was no good.
Thanks
What is the name of the Game?
Babo violent 2. I have friends that have installed it and they have the same problemOriginally Posted by Ferret

Any advice would be appreciated.
I`m Surprised Revo uninstaller didn`t work, Excellent bit of kit.
Couple of things you can try, But FIRST create a restore point call it Babo Removal or something similar.
(1) Open Revo Uninstaller click on "Tool" then "Autorun manager"
Check the list of running programs and see if there is any mention of the Game.
Note right clicking on one of the entries give you a lot more info.
If you find the game running in the start up untick the box and then try running Revo Uninstaller again.
(2) Boot into safe mode as you did before ... run Revo uninstaller under safe mode and see if it will remove the game this time.
Seems to have gone now. Thanks very much for all of your help.
