    Unhappy sound problems

I have had no sound from my pc for a while, I have looked at the audio device manager and this is ok, - can the sound device affect the monitor? I did have some trouble a few weeks ago when after a move of the pc desk, and replugging the monitor connections which kept going on and off and i had to re insert the 'plugs' which had not been inserted properly could this have affected the sound on the monitor?

Are you using speakers on the monitor or are they seperate?

Have you left clicked on the speaker icon bottom right on the taskbar (Check it is not muted)

Then right click the same icon and select "open olume control Check your setting in that (Check nothing is muted)

If that is no help ... go to my computer. Right click and select properties. Select hardware then device manager.

Check to see if there is any " ? or ! " for your sound devices or monitor.

If you find one of the above double click on that line and select troubleshoot.

If you have tried everything Ferret suggested with no luck, I would say it is a hardware problem - most likely your connecors are bad. Especially since you started having problems after moving the desk and reconnecting everything.
