Thread: Black screen with cursor

Hi.......Recently had a problem with my laptop which had a missing dll file and would not boot,so i run a repair which seemed to go ok till it rebooted and after the windows start screen all i get is a black screen with the white mouse cursor.
Have tried last known good configuration with no result and tried in ssafemode but has same black screen ,
Runing xp on packard bell easy note.
Any ideas??????????????

Umm how did you try ' last known config' if you only get the cmd screen?
Check your disk and try a repair again.
