Default back up win xp pro disk

I have just bought a used PC with win xp pro installed. The vendor promised to supply the original disk in case of crash etc. Guess what the rat ripped me off. First he was waiting for disk to be delivered then the price jumped from 20 to 90 GBP.
Can anyone please explain in as simple way as possible how I can make my own bootable OS disk from the pre installed version. I have the legal MS key.
I really need to know if this asap possible because I do not trust this guy. He said that if they were any problems he would re install for 40 GBP.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have saved like crazy to get Adobe CS4 now I cannot use the damn thing

Your best tip is to get one of the HD Imaging software ... like this
Acronis backup software and recovery services in UK. Backup and restore system software and PC system utilities for Windows and Linux OSs

This allows you to make an exact Image of your harddrive which can be re-installed if you have any problems. Beware You can get Imaging Software for free from websites like Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily. Today: PDFTiger - PDFTiger is a desktop application that quickly and accurately create PDF documents from Word, Excel, Powerpoint, txt or Images. PDFTiger ... but if you suffer a bad crash you lose the free program and your back-up images may not install until you buy & install the software.

You can also update XP Pro with all the M$ Downloads and then create an Image. Meaning that if you do restore all the update have been downloaded and saved

Agreed. Acronis is a great program. I have also used Casper and it works well too.

This program can format your external Hdd and copy the image of your internal harddrive on to it. I use it puerly to make an image of the working drive. My external drive is in an enclosure so easy to remove and replace the internal one if needed. It does more than that if you'll study the help files. It's also free; Free Drive Backup Software

Hello Robinson. You won't be able to backup the whole of the HD, including the OS, for obvious reasons. You can pay for online backups which will back-up your programs, files etc. Some alternative free ones, but limited space, shown in this link; How to back up your hard drive online for free | News | TechRadar UK

Best way to backup your OS and programs is with Acronis or Paragon or similar software on to another HD.
