    Default xp install help

    Hi I have recently tried to reinstall xp on my laptop. The initial part of the installation seemed to go ok untill the reboot .The laptop is now stalled and is trying to auto detect the sec master cdrom.In this state is does not respond to F1 for the Bios screen or any other keys.
    I have only very limited knowledge regarding computers though I have installed windows previously on other pcs/laptops.
    Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    Is the Windows CD still in the cd drive?, if so eject it and try again..
